Among the special celebrations are the Midsummer's Day (summer solstice) celebration, Shambhala Day (the Tibetan New Year Celebration) in February, and Children's Day in December. The center also offers classes on Buddhism, Shambhala teaching, and Dharma Art, as well as hosting other contemplative and contemporary art events and special program for children. Subjects include Buddhist philosophy, Shambhala meditation training, and other topics. During a weekly open house, meditation is followed by a talk.
